We all have missed opportunities, but it becomes a tragedy when a public figure, a rising star, misses the opportunity of a lifetime.

Barack Obama ran a successful presidential campaign based on Hope and Change. While “Hope and Change” appeals to everyone, the black community wanted it and needed it on a level most people can’t understand.
The next time you see a reporter interviewing someone about Barack Obama, notice how people refer to him. Overwhelmingly, it’s just Obama. But… the black community calls him President Obama with adjectives like “Our President”.
Black women really love President Obama because they live the need for hope and change every minute of every day. Black women hoped they were seeing the light at the end of a long tunnel.
Yet, hope and change was a political slogan. Smoke and mirrors. A lie of the most basic kind.
Instead of a man of Hope and Change, Barack Obama practices the politics of money and deceit.
The tragedy of an opportunity missed.
