Toyota Reports October Sales-Down 4.4 Percent

TORRANCE, Calif. (November 3, 2010) – Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc., today reported October sales of 145,474 units, a decrease of 0.9 percent from the same period last year, on a daily selling rate basis (DSR). On a raw volume basis, unadjusted for 27 selling days in October 2010, compared to 28 selling days in October 2009, TMS sales were down 4.4 percent compared to the same period last year. Toyota Division recorded sales of 124,383 vehicles, a decrease of 2.8 percent from the year-ago month, on a DSR basis. On a raw volume basis, Toyota Division sales were down 6.2 percent from last October. Lexus Division reported sales of 21,091 units for the month, up 12.2 percent over October 2009, on a DSR basis.
